1. What is your style of photography?
My style of photography is a blend of documentary and natural. Capturing your day with raw emotions as the event unfolds. I focus on authentic moments and with relaxed, unposed shots with a timeless feel for weddings and events. In 2026 I launched 'The Studio Booth' with unique guest photos throughout the event. Providing high end, quality portraits with a distinct twist. Together, the photography I offer remains timeless and meaningful.
2. Can I see examples of complete wedding albums?
Absolutely, A full gallery can be shown upon request of a face to face meeting. All images on social media and my website are authentic and captured at a real event. While there is a trend for styled shoots, this doesn't show the pressures of working an event. Any images taken in the future for portfolio building days will be highlighted.
3. What wedding packages do you offer?
While packages are available, from 'The Vow' which is ceremony only, The Heritage is a full day's coverage. However, when I started the business I offered tailored pricing, due to demand I will continue with 'The Couture' tailoring prices around each client's requirement. Each gallery is delivered on USB, and a private online gallery which is password protected.
4. How many hours of coverage do we get?
I am fully flexible around your event, from ceremony only to full days coverage. For a full day's coverage (The Heritage) I stay a little while after the first dance to capture guests on the dance floor. When you book with Fairson Photography, you remain the only booking that day, no matter how small your event.
5. What key images will you shoot?
When we are nearer the event, I will get in touch to discuss your capture list, and go through the guests you would like in your photos along with the image you request and suggestions.
6. Are you insured?
I am fully insured with equipment, indemnity and public liability.
7. Do you have any qualifications?
I studied Art & Photography at Hull School of Art & Design in 2005 and have an A level in the subject. I continued my photography, over the years alongside working in admin for the NHS, Which has helped immensely to have a thorough system in place for the business.
8. Have you taken photos at my venue before?
I only photograph client venues, as I don't do styled shoots. However, I will always visit the venue a couple of times before the event to seek out photography locations for inside and outside locations. By visiting the venue, it gives me a clear indication of the photos you will be able to get what ever the weather.
9. Will it just be you photographing on the day?
Most events are covered by myself, for larger events I will cover it with myself and a personally selected second shooter. I try to stay in the background of the event, capturing your day unfold from a distance.
10. What would happen if you were ill on the day?
I am part of several professional photographer networks, and would help source an alternative photographer.
11. How long have you been a photographer?
While my business started in 2024, My first camera and kit is 20 years old. I started photography in 2006.
12. What do you usually wear for weddings?
I wear a black jumpsuit and comfortable smart trainers for weddings. By wearing black, it allows me to photograph reflections and add creative side to the photos. The comfortable footwear is essential for being on my feet all day and getting into place in time for the photo.
13. How long will it take before photos are ready?
When you book 'The Heritage' I will put together a small selection of around 15 images for you to see at the wedding reception. They are shown on a tablet and placed on the side for guests to enjoy until after the first dance. These snippets are then posted the following day on social media. I am to send the full portfolio within 8 weeks of the event.
14. Do I have copyright of the images?
Yes, you will have personal copyright. Creating your own album, prints and social media use. This is all outlined in my terms of business contract, prior to any deposit is requested.
15. Do you offer any extras?
Through 'Couture' and 'Compass' I offer additional extras, from engagement shoots to staying until carriages, and destination weddings. The Studio Booth is a new approach to the traditional photo booth. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
